Healing Programs

Counseling for child victims, adult survivors, family members and abusers themselves.
At Arpan we believe that along with helping the victim heal it is important to extend help to the abuser as well. It is seen that therapeutic intervention can help abusers stop abusing children in the future. As a method to prevention healing services are offered for abusers too.
Arpan's trained counselors, counsel children and adults to help heal through counseling and therapy sessions.

Building practitioner capability
While there are numerous counselors, very few really have the ability to deal with cases of trauma. Most often children and adults are traumatised due to being sexually abused and need specific therapeutic skills to help heal. Arpan conducts a study group on Trauma for practitioners in the field of mental health and social workers to gain skills on dealing with cases of trauma. Practitioners are taught by Dr. Rani Raote, Mumbai's leading psychotherpaist.

Activity Based Therapy for sexually abused and trafficked minors.
It is seen that alternative therapies like yoga, dance, art and craft help heal traumatised victims and survivors. Arpan extends it's healing programs to sponsor therapeutic activities like yoga to victims of sexual abuse.
