Key Objectives of the Job Raising awareness for a complex and unacknowledged issue such as child sexual abuse across platforms
Major Deliverables The major responsibilities are:

  • Writing and editing articles or press release, drafting and designing newsletters
  • Create appropriate content for seeding across channels and partner media
  • Manage journalist in media house/ publication for developing a communications plan based on organization objective.
  • Assist the manager in developing effective PR plans using appropriate strategies and tactics
  • Organize and coordinate PR activities
  • Enhancing Arpan’ reputation by researching global trends to identify proactive public relation opportunities
  • Creating and distributing communications materials that are needed to portray the organization and its work to the outside world
  • Liaise with PR agency professionals, corporates to ensure consistency in promoting Arpan
  • Analyze results of PR campaigns or efforts and prepare reports
  • Assess opportunities for partnerships and manage relations
  • Identify events to participate in to promote Arpan’s work to stakeholders.

Preparation of all relevant event documentation including contracts, event planning documents with timelines, project report, etc.

  • Development, production and delivery of event from planning right up to delivery on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations.
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Travelling to inspect and manage events across locations
  • Manage and execute SOPs for events and PR
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Job Challenge Talking about Child Sexual Abuse is the need of the hour and currently, Arpan being the largest NGO dedicatedly working on the issue. The concerned person is expected to come up with dynamic methods in creating mass awareness and impact. Thus enabling people to talk about it and accepting the issue and the prevention model of Personal Safety.
Specialised job competencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Should possess strong content writing and editing skills
  • Good understanding of the different communication channels, product and tools and how they can be used to the organizational benefit.
  • A creative mind partnered with the ability to find the best practical solutions
  • Bachelors in PR, marketing or similar field
  • Experience in working with a PR agency is desirable
  • Passion to deliver excellence
Educational Qualification MBA/PGDBM in Marketing & communications or Graduate with relevant experience
Desired Experience Minimum of 1 year in content writing, PR or Marketing. Freshers may be considered in exceptional cases

Ability to work in a small team, good interpersonal skills, ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects
