Social Responsibility Forum Marathon: Running for a good cause

Coming for a social cause, thanks to the Social Responsibility Forum (SRF), a club of Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce, NMIMS University. Since its beginning, SRF has always attempted to create awareness and a sense of accountability in the masses it meets.

Aarambh, the flagship event of the club, is a 5 KM Social Marathon which calls for spirit, enthusiasm and energy among its participants. Here, people from the entire city participate and run for a cause. SRF has had a long-standing legacy in this event.  Each year, SRF addresses a new social problem and believes in coming up with solutions to eradicate it and achieve its aim for a better world to live in, thus giving shape to its motto of ‘Dream. Believe. Achieve’.

As Aarambh completes a decade this year, SRF aims to address the alarming issue of ‘Child Sexual Abuse’ in collaboration with ‘Arpan- Towards Freedom from Child Sexual Abuse’, the largest NGO in the country addressing the phenomenon of CSA. They provide prevention and intervention services to children and adults. Since their inception in 2006, Arpan has directly touched the lives of over 200,000 children and adults through healing and training programmes.

Through their partnerships, they have reached out to her over 880,000 children and adults.  As we take bigger strides to ensure ‘A World Free from Child Sexual Abuse’, join us in raising awareness against this issue on 10th of February’19 at 7:00 AM at Bandstand, Bandra.
