Dr. Lois Engelbrecht
Dr. Lois Engelbrecht has three degrees in social work. Born and brought up in India, she has worked extensively in Asian countries, especially in the Philippines. She has written vast material that is aimed at direct social work and community workers in the area of prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. Her expertise is project development, and she has been a part of developing new programs in Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and India.
She is a founder of the Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse in Quezon City. Her work has been translated into Hindi, Tamil, Bahasa Malay, Tagalog, Arabic, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
