who we are

Arpan is a registered organization based in Mumbai with an aim to Prevent the occurrence of Child Sexual Abuse and heal those who have been affected by it.

Founded by Pooja Taparia, Mumbai, Arpan began in year 2003 by 'making little differences' to the underprivileged community by becoming a platform for volunteers and individuals who seek opportunities to contribute to the development sector but don’t know where and how to.

With passion and conviction and a trained team of
dedicated professionals; clinical and counselling psychologists Arpan began working on the issue of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) in year 2006. Today Arpan works in a focused manner only on the issue of Child Sexual Abuse. Arpan has reached out to over 70,000 individuals, directly and indirectly, both children and adults in the last 6 years.

The vision and mission of Arpan is as follows:

Vision:  World free of Child Sexual Abuse

Mission: To empower individuals, families, communities and society with prevention and intervention skills to reduce the occurrence of child sexual abuse and heal its psychological, social, sexual and physical consequences.
