Arpan, a globally recognised non-profit organisation committed to the elimination of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) in India, has collaborated with the Free Press Journal’s School Edition to promote personal safety of children.

Arpan, the largest non-profit in India providing comprehensive CSA prevention and intervention services for both children and adults, aims to incorporate safety messages designed to help children better understand personal safety and enhance communication with their parents through its partnership with the FPJ’s School Edition.

This content, which will include quizzes, games, activities, and stories, is drawn from Arpan’s PSE Curriculum. Teachers and parents will serve as guides, helping children navigate these materials and ensuring a supportive learning environment.

Arpan’s collaboration with the FPJ focuses on Personal Safety Education (PSE) in schools, teaching children and adolescents (ages 4 to 18) about personal safety so they can identify, and seek help in, unsafe situations.

As a critical stakeholder for state and non-state actors, Arpan uses advocacy and research to push for policy and systemic change at the local, state, and national levels, according to the non-profit organisation.

Arpan also trains and empowers teachers and parents with the knowledge, attitude, and skills needed to prevent and deal with CSA. Since 2007, according to Arpan, it has impacted over 18.3 million children and adults, and has received eight national and two international awards for its exemplary work.Subscribe to the FPJ’s SCHOOL edition at https://whatsapp.freepressjournal.in/school.php for more detailed content on Child Safety.
