Dr. Usha Ram
Prof. Usha Ram is Research and Technical Specialist, Institute for Global Public Health, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada and Visiting Professor, Impact and Policy Research Institute (IMPRI), India. She was the Professor and Head (former), Departments of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and Public Health and Mortality Studies, IIPS, India. She was CIHR-HOPE fellow at the Centre for Global Health Research, St. Michael’s Hospital, CA (2011-2015).

Prof. Ram has experience in implementing large scale sample surveys, analyzing large data sets on population and health, teaching in higher education institutions and undertaking research on issues of public health including maternal and child health, adolescent health and the minority population. She led the India study on Exemplars in Maternal and Newborn Health, a collaborative initiative of NHSRC, IHAT and UoM and Youth in India: Situation and Needs Study.

Prof. Ram appeared in the recently released ‘Indian Researchers who were Top 2% in 2019 – Stanford Study’ and has published more than 150 research articles in International and national journals of high impact factor including Lancet and Lancet Global Health.
