Payal is an award-winning professional with over 20 years of experience in content creation, creative writing, and communications. She has expertise in developing brand-related content across diverse formats, including digital platforms (social media, blogs, website content), books, experiential marketing, and more.
Throughout her career, Payal has successfully collaborated with academic institutions, international and national organizations, and various civil society groups. Her work encompasses a broad range of health initiatives and projects. She is also the author of "The Bad Touch," a book based on true stories of child sexual abuse (CSA). She has also served as a trainer, faculty member, and speaker on content-related themes at various organizations, including XIC, NMIMS, Global Content Bazaar, and Ad. After working with agencies such as Ogilvy, Hanmer, and OOH Media, she founded her own content agency, The Word Jockey. For over a decade, her agency managed content and communications projects for prominent companies like LinkedIn, Penguin, Mahindra, ITC, CEAT, Kotak, ICICI Pru, Godrej, and Future Group, among others.
Payal holds an MBA/PG in Advertising & Communications from NMIMS, a BCom degree, and a Diploma in Event Management. Her interests include exploring social phenomena, building culturally relevant and effective health systems to tackle various health challenges, investigating the potential of digital health initiatives, and passionately advocating for the rights of marginalized and underprivileged communities.

In her leisure time, Payal enjoys reading a variety of books, with a particular fondness for Ruskin Bond's "Rain in the Mountains" and Dan Brown's thrillers. She also loves exploring new destinations and cuisines, as well as indulging in books and movies. Writing, reading, and traveling to offbeat destinations, especially the mountains, are among her favorite activities.
