Mumbai– Mumbai Marathon 2025 witnessed not only the athletic spirit of the city but also a bold call to action for child safety, as Arpan, India’s largest NGO addressing Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), took center stage with its impactful participation.

At the Dream Run, Arpan’s vibrant team carried banners with powerful messages like “Bacho ki suraksha hum sabki zimmedari” and “All children in India are #ProtectedByPOCSO.” Their energy and determination resonated with thousands of participants and spectators, creating a sense of collective responsibility toward child safety. Our participation at the Motivational Zone further amplified their message, with Arpan team members dressed as a lawyer and a police officer to highlight the legal ramifications of CSA and the protective provisions of the POCSO Act. The visual display was accompanied by a pledge board, where marathon participants and attendees committed their support to the cause by signing and engaging with the team.

The Mumbai Marathon provided a unique platform for Arpan to integrate its ongoing campaign into a larger community-driven event. This participation is a testament to the organization’s commitment to maximizing reach and its belief in leveraging public events to spark critical conversations around child safety.

Collaborating with Advocates for Change Arpan’s TMM participation also saw overwhelming support from influential figures, including advocates, judges, and police officers who pledged their commitment to the cause.

“The Mumbai Marathon is a celebration of resilience, unity, and community spirit,” said Pooja Taparia, Founder and CEO of Arpan. “We are proud to use this platform to amplify our mission and remind everyone that child safety is non-negotiable. With every banner, pledge, and conversation sparked today, we are one step closer to a safer society for our children.”

The Road Ahead Arpan’s participation at TMM is part of its year-long public awareness campaign called #ProtectedByPOCSO, which is a part of its broader mission to prevent Child Sexual Abuse and heal those affected by it. The organization will continue to leverage diverse platforms, including public transport, digital media, and community engagements, to ensure the message reaches every corner of society.
